Congratulations Mrs. Jacobs!!!

The French class excitement reached mythical proportions this week - it was positively de-MONSTER-ative!

Mademoiselle Jacobs' crew isn't just dipping their toes into French waters; they're diving in headfirst. After learning parts of the body in French, students seamlessly blended their knowledge of colors, characteristics, and personalities. Talk about a linguistic potion with a splash of rainbow charm!

Armed with an arsenal of French vocabulary, the students were more prepared to take on their magical French task. Their mission? Crafting monstrous biographies that would make Dracula do a double-take. Each student summoned their inner artist, drawing and describing their unique creatures using the French words they'd mastered in previous lessons.

In this monster mash-up of creativity and language prowess, students had so many choices that no two outcomes were alike. The project was a virtual gallop through the French linguistic Louvre! The monsters that were created were fantastic, and the student creativity was "fantastique."

Witnessing these young linguists flex their French muscles while conjuring up their own fantastical creatures was truly a sight to behold. It's safe to say that in Mrs. Jacobs' class, language learning isn't just a lesson; it's a magical adventure. Stay tuned for more linguistic wizardry and fantastique creations in the weeks to come!

Visit with Santa	December 2, 2023	This event will take place at 9 am in front of Riverside Middle School in the Washington Street Parking Lot. If inclement weather is present, this event will be moved into the RES cafeteria.
RTSD Faculty Talent Show	December 7, 2023	This event will begin at 3 pm in the Morris D. Murphy Auditorium.
11th Grade English Students visit the Lantern Theatre	December 8, 2902	Students in eleventh grade will take a field trip to the Lantern Theater for a play.
Teacher Cadet visits the Please Touch Museum	December 8, 2023	Our Teacher Cadet students will gain knowledge of educational opportunities for elementary-aged students in our local communities.
Christmas in Riverside	December 9, 2023	Students and staff will be participating in the Riverside Township Holiday Parade at 6 pm.
4h Grade Trip to the Franklin Institute	December 11, 2023	Our 4th grade will be visiting the Franklin Institute and will be focusing on STEM experiences during their trip.
1st Grade Trip to the Aquarium	December 12, 2023	Our first-grade students will visit the Adventure Aquarium in Camden, NJ for an enriching experience.
FAFSA Completion Night	December 13, 2023	This event will take place from 6 pm to 7 pm in the RHS Media Center.
Winter Band Concert	December 13, 2023	The Band Ensemble from RES, RMS, and RHS will begin their performances at 7 pm in the Morris D. Murphy Auditorium.
Elementary School and Family Meeting	December 14, 2023	This will take place from 6:15 pm to 7:00 pm in the Elementary School Media Center.
BOE Meeting	December 14, 2023	Riverside Elementary School Cafeteria - 7:00 pm
Winter Choral Concert	December 19, 2023	The choral programs from RES, RMS and RHS will begin their performances at 7 pm in the Morris D. Murphy Auditorium.
RMS Ugly Sweater Competition	December 22, 2023	Students and faculty will compete in an ugly sweater competition for prizes. This will occur during the school day.
RHS Project Santa Basketball Game	December 22, 2023	Students and staff are invited to the Pop Vernon Field House to watch this event.
Early Dismissal For All Students	December 22, 2023	K - 5th grade: 8:00 am - 12:20 pm 6th - 12th grade: 7:43 am - 12:05 pm PreK AM Session: 8:00 am - 9:50 am PreK PM Session: 10:30 am - 12:20 pm
School Closed	December 25, 2023 - January 2, 2024	The district is closed on December 25, 2023, through January 2, 2024. School will reopen on Wednesday, January 3, 2024.
