Breakfast and Lunch Information

Breakfast is available in the School

Breakfast is served each morning in the cafeteria for middle and high school students from 7:20-7:38 in the MS/HS cafeteria. We operate a Breakfast After the Bell program in the elementary school which allows students the option of eating their first meal of the day in the classroom. Specific information on this program is available by contacting the elementary main office at ext. 1128 or ext. 1116.

If your child qualifies for free lunch, breakfast is FREE.  If your child qualifies for reduced lunch, breakfast costs 30 cents.  Otherwise, the price of breakfast is $1.30. Menu items vary daily.  Please see the monthly breakfast menu on the School District Menus tab or call the school for more information.

Pre Paid Meals are available in the Cafeteria

You can write a check, made payable to the RTBOE (Riverside Township Board of Education) for any amount. (You can prepay for the week, the month, or any period of time.) Please be sure to include your child’s name, and grade on the check, and place the check in an envelope marked “Cafeteria”. Your child can bring the check in at breakfast or lunch time. Cash will also be accepted. You can also designate whether or not you want these funds to be used for meals only, ala carte items only, or a combination of both. Should you have any questions, please contact Arlene McBride at 856-461-1255 x 1140.

Lunch Charge Procedures

If money is owed for a student’s breakfast or lunch, the district will contact the student’s parent or guardian to provide notice of the debt and provide a period of 10 school days to pay the amount due.  If the parent or guardian does not make a full payment by the end of the 10 school days, the district is to then provide a second notice that breakfast or lunch will not be served to the student beginning one week from the date of this second notice unless payment is made in full.

No ala carte purchases will be allowed if money is due to the cafeteria for charges.
